Kafe Biryani Corner

People in Kuvempunagar know where we are. Kafe Biryani Corner is inside the Divya Complex at No.26, right on Vishwamanava Double Road. Mysore - 570023 is home for us. We spend most of our time in the kitchen. Making biryani takes a lot of hours, and we start early in the morning before the sun is even up properly. It’s a lot of chopping onions and getting the rice just right. We aren't a big fancy restaurant with waiters in uniforms. It’s more of a place where you come to eat and you don't care about the decor too much. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but the food is what people come for anyway. We see a lot of students and office workers during lunch time. It gets crowded and a bit sweaty in here when the pots are all steaming, but that’s the way it goes. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people telling their friends about us. If we run out of food, we close up for the day. That’s how we’ve always done it. My family helps out when it gets really busy. It’s hard work, but we like being on the Double Road. It’s a good spot with a lot of life. Just a simple corner shop doing what we know how to do. The smell of the spices usually drifts out onto the street, so you can find us even if you aren't looking at the signs. We spend a lot of time cleaning those big metal pots.
