Yari Chote Miyan

It is another hot day here on Yari Road. We are sitting right across from Deepti Kaly, and the traffic is already starting to pick up on the 11th Main. Our little spot in the 4th Block is usually quiet in the mornings, which is when I get most of the cleaning done. I’ve been working here at Yari Chote Miyan for a while now, and honestly, the humidity in Andheri West never gets easier to deal with. The 33rd Cross is always a bit of a mess with all the bikes parked everywhere, but that is just how it is around here. We don’t have any fancy signs or big lights. Most people just know we are here because they walk past us every single day on their way to the station or back home. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes and we just have to sit there in the dark waiting for it to come back on. It’s just me and a couple of others trying to keep things moving. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just serve what we have and hope the fridge stays cold enough through the afternoon. It gets pretty loud with the horns honking outside, but you get used to the noise after a few months. If you are looking for us, we are right there near the corner. It is a simple life and we just do what needs to be done.
