Voltas Limited

Our office is in Voltas House B, up on the 3rd floor at T.B. Kadam Marg in Chinchpokli. This building has a lot of history to it. You can feel it when you walk through the hallways. We’re part of the electro-mechanical and refrigeration group. It sounds technical, and it is, but the daily work is pretty grounded. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and coordinating with teams out in the field. Chinchpokli is an old part of the city, and the streets around the office are always bustling with life. The trains are constantly running nearby, which is a sound we’ve all grown accustomed to. Our floor is a mix of old desks and newer equipment. It’s not a showpiece office; it’s a working space where people have their lunch at their desks and piles of paper are everywhere. We deal with cooling systems for big buildings and industrial sites. It’s a lot of coordination. Sometimes things don’t go according to plan, and we have to sit around the big table and figure out a new way forward. There’s a lot of experience in this room. Some of the staff have been here for decades. We don’t bother with corporate jargon much. We just talk about what needs to be fixed and who is going to do it. It’s a steady, reliable way to spend the day in this part of town.
