I work out of my place at Shreenandnagar in the N N P Colony. The address is 53 Dairy Hill Road, right near Mantri Tower. It’s a quiet residential area, which is nice for when people come over to talk about their plans. I’ve been an insurance advisor for quite a few years now. Most of my work involves sitting with people and going over a lot of fine print. It can be boring for some, but it’s what I do. I don’t have a big fancy office with a receptionist. It’s just me and a laptop. Sometimes I meet people at their homes or at a local cafe if they prefer that. My desk is usually covered in forms and brochures. I try to keep things organized, but it’s a lot of paperwork to track. I spend a lot of time on the phone with company offices trying to get claims processed or checking on policy status. It’s not a fast-paced job. It requires a lot of patience. People ask a lot of questions, and I try to answer them as simply as I can. I don't use big words or try to confuse anyone. I just explain what the policy does and what it doesn't do. Most of my clients are neighbors or friends of friends. Word travels in a place like this. I just try to be helpful and keep things straightforward. If I'm not at the desk, I'm usually out delivering papers.
