Virat Aluminium

You can find Virat Aluminium over at 37/39 on 2nd Carpenter Street, near C.P. Tank. This whole area is known for metal and hardware, and we’ve been right in the thick of it for years. The shop is usually full of aluminium sections and sheets. It’s a bit of a squeeze getting around the stacks sometimes. There’s always the sound of metal being moved or sawed nearby. We don't have much in the way of a front office; it's mostly just the warehouse and a small desk where we keep the bills. The dust from the street comes in, so everything has a bit of a layer on it by the end of the day. We deal with all sorts of people, from contractors to local guys looking for a specific piece for a home project. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or anything. Most people find us just by walking down the street or hearing about us from another shop nearby. It’s a tough, physical job, especially when we have to load up a truck in the heat. But we’ve got a good system down now. My clothes are usually stained with grease or metal dust, but that's just how it goes here. We open early and stay until the work is finished. It’s a basic operation, but we know our aluminium and we know how to handle the orders.
