Vikram Power Tools

Our shop is tucked into the ground floor of Savani Apartment at B-12. Being in M.G Pesram Nagar means we get a lot of local tradesmen and DIY folks coming in. The space is small, so we have power tools stacked all the way to the ceiling. You have to be careful when you walk in so you don’t trip over a box of drills or a saw. It smells like machine oil and new plastic in here. I’ve spent most of my life behind this counter, helping people find the right bit or fixing a motor that burnt out. It’s a bit dusty, and the lighting isn't great, but it’s a proper tool shop. We don’t have a big staff, just me and a helper most days. We know most of our customers by name since they live or work nearby. Sometimes we spend more time chatting about projects than actually selling anything. The apartment building above us is quiet, so we try not to test the loud saws too early in the morning. It’s a straightforward business. We sell tools, we fix them, and we give advice when someone asks. Nothing fancy about it. We just open up at nine, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer to come through the door with a broken tool. It is how we have always done things.
