Our office is located in Sri Joravar Bhavan, which is at 93 Maharshi Karve Road. Being right by Marine Lines means we get a bit of that sea breeze when the windows are open, though the traffic noise usually drowns it out. Nickunj Eximp Entp Pvt.Ltd has been here for a while. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it, a bit heavy and solid. We spend our days mostly at our desks, dealing with whatever comes across the phone or email. It’s not the kind of place with modern glass walls or anything like that. We have our files stacked up, and the furniture has seen better days, but it’s comfortable enough for the work we do. Getting here in the morning is easiest by train since the station is close, which is a blessing considering how hard it is to park a car around Maharshi Karve Road. The hallways in Joravar Bhavan are a little dim, but once you step into our space, it’s just a normal workplace. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to keep things organized. There’s always someone coming in with a delivery or a question, and we just handle it as it comes. It’s a steady pace, nothing too frantic, just a regular office life in a busy part of the city. We keep a kettle in the corner for making tea, which helps when the monsoon rain starts hitting the windows hard outside.
