Our place is at 74, Nagdevi Cross Lane. The lane is so narrow you can barely walk sometimes when the handcarts are moving through. We are right there at number 74. People know us by the name Mgw Precision (Mohanlal Ghanshamdas). It’s been that way for a long time. We don't have a flashy lobby or anything like that. It's just a regular shop floor and office space in one of the busiest parts of the old city. You get used to the constant noise and the shouting of the delivery guys outside the door. Being on Nagdevi Cross Lane means you are in the heart of the trade area. It’s practical for us to be here. We start early and stay until the shutters go down in the evening. The walls are a bit dusty from the street outside but that’s just how it is in this neighborhood. We focus on getting through the daily tasks without making a big fuss about things. The name Mohanlal Ghanshamdas is what’s on the old paperwork and the board. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. It’s a lot of work but being at 74 makes it easier to stay connected to the rest of the market. Sometimes it’s hot and the fans just move the warm air around, but we just keep going.
