You will find us at Viceroy Court on D N Road, in Thakur Village. We are in shops 33 to 35. Thakur Village is a very lively place, especially in the evenings when everyone comes out for a walk. Vichu Chaats has been here for a good amount of time now. We have a couple of shop spaces joined together to make room for the counters and the people waiting. It gets very crowded around 7 PM. You can hear the sound of the plates and the constant chatting of customers. We are mostly busy making pani puri or prepping the chutneys in the morning. It’s a lot of manual work, standing on your feet all day. The Viceroy Court building is well known in the area, so it’s easy for people to find us. We don’t have much in the way of fancy seating, just some stools and the counter space. It’s a bit loud and fast-paced, but that’s just the nature of selling chaat in a place like this. We know a lot of the families around here because they’ve been coming to us since their kids were small. It’s just a simple business, really. We open up, get the ingredients ready, and serve until we run out of stock for the night. D N Road is always moving, and we are just a part of that daily rhythm. It’s mostly just hard work and keeping the customers fed while they enjoy their evening.
