Veera Aluminium

Our unit is A-225 inside the Ghanshhyam Industrial Estate on V P Road. It’s a big complex, and there’s always something happening in the other units around us. You can hear machines humming and trucks backing up all day long. We deal mostly with aluminum extrusions and frames. The racks are full of different lengths and finishes. Some are silver, some are powder-coated in different colors. We have a heavy cutting machine that takes up a lot of space in the middle of the floor. It’s noisy, but it’s the most important thing we have. The floor is usually covered in those tiny silver chips that come off the saw. They get into your shoes and your clothes. We’ve got a small area in the corner where we keep our lunch boxes and a water cooler. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and the ceiling fans are thick with dust. We don’t really bother with making the place look pretty because it’s a factory at the end of the day. People come by with blueprints or sometimes just some measurements written on their hands. We just take the notes down in an old ledger we keep on the workbench. It’s honest work, and it’s what we know how to do. The industrial estate is a bit of a maze, but we’ve been in this spot for a long time.
