Alu Affair

Alu Affair is located over in Vile Parle East, inside the Jeevan Dhara Society at shop number 3. It’s a quiet enough area compared to some other parts of Mumbai, but we stay pretty busy with our daily tasks. We mostly deal with aluminium fittings and related materials. The society has been our home for a while now, and the neighbors know us. Our shop isn't very big, so we have to use every inch of space for storage. You’ll often find us sorting through different tracks and channels. It’s honest work, and we don't try to make it sound like anything more than what it is. We don't have any polished brochures or big signs. Most of our day is spent measuring things and talking to people who drop by the shop. Vile Parle East is a nice place to be, and being in Jeevan Dhara Society makes it feel a bit more like a community. We usually open up around mid-morning and stay until the work is finished. Sometimes that means staying late if there’s a lot to organize. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff. We just want to make sure the inventory is right and the customers get what they asked for. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day. We sweep it up and start again the next morning. It’s a simple routine we’ve followed for years.
