I've been here at Woodlands on Peddar Road for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot, especially being right across from the Vama showroom, so there’s always something happening outside. 15/B/2 is where I’m based, right in the middle of Cumballa Hill. People know this area well, and I’ve just become part of the local scenery over the years. It’s not a huge operation or anything fancy. I just handle things from my space and keep my head down. Some days are busier than others, depending on who’s coming through the neighborhood or what’s going on at the shops nearby. Living and working around here means you get used to the traffic and the noise, but it’s home. I try to keep things simple. Most people who find me are usually from around the block or have heard about me through someone else in the building. I don't really do much to advertise myself. I just focus on what needs doing each day. The building itself has a lot of history, and being on the second floor gives me a decent view of the street life. It’s a practical setup. I’ve lived in Mumbai long enough to know that a good location matters, but it’s the steady work that keeps you going. If you’re walking past Vama, you’ll probably see the entrance to our lane. It’s just how things are here.
