Nazakat Chikankari

We are located in Kandivali West, focusing on the traditional style of embroidery. It’s a neighborhood where a lot of people still appreciate the old ways of doing things by hand. We don't have a big fancy shop on the main road with bright lights; it’s more of a local, quiet setup. We spend our days looking at various fabrics and the intricate thread work that goes into every piece. It’s very slow work, and you can’t really rush it if you want it to look right. We’ve been doing this for a while now in this area. Most of our customers are women from the surrounding buildings who want something that feels authentic. We don't really do much advertising or marketing at all. People just find out about us from their neighbors or friends. The space we work in is usually filled with different types of cloth and colorful threads. It might look a bit messy or cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We try to keep the traditional style alive without making the clothes too expensive for regular people. It’s just us and a few workers who have been with us for many years. We aren't a big brand you would see in the malls. We are just a small business in Kandivali West. We take a lot of pride in the stitches and making sure the fabric is good quality. Sometimes we have a lot of orders and things get tight.
