Aarna Salwar Kameez Store

Our shop, Aarna Salwar Kameez Store, is tucked away in the Jaygopal Industrial Estate at No. 134. We’re on Bhavani Shanker Cross in Dadar West, which is a pretty well-known spot because the Sharda Ashram School is right nearby. Being in an industrial estate means it’s not your typical high-street shopping experience. There are always trucks moving and people hauling bundles of fabric around the corridors. We’ve been here for a while, and the room is packed with stacks of different suits and materials. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We spend most of our time showing different patterns to people who come in or checking the stitching on new batches. The light coming through the windows isn't great, so we have some bright tubes installed to see the colors properly. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone around to help. We don't really do any fancy marketing; most of our customers come because someone they know told them about us. Dadar is always busy, and this area especially has a lot of energy. We just keep our heads down and focus on the stock we have. Sometimes we get behind on the paperwork, but the actual work with the clothes always gets done. It’s just a normal day-to-day business for us here in the estate. We finish up late most nights, but it's part of the job.
