I’m based at C-34 on the first floor of the Hyderabad Estate, which is located on Napean Sea Road. It’s one of those parts of Mumbai that feels a bit tucked away from the main rush, even though it’s a busy city. The estate has its own rhythm, and being on the first floor means I’m close enough to see what’s happening on the street but high enough to have some peace. The space is simple. I’ve set it up so I can handle my daily work without much distraction. There’s a lot of paper around and a desk that usually has too many things on it. Napean Sea Road is a nice place to walk during a break, with the old trees and the sea not too far off. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time now. People around here know each other, which gives it a bit of a neighborhood feel. My daily routine is pretty straightforward. I spend a lot of time on the phone or at my computer, dealing with whatever needs to be done. It’s not a big corporate office with a receptionist. If the bell rings, it’s usually me answering the door. The building itself has some character, with its old staircases and high ceilings. It’s a comfortable place to be. I like the balance of being in a residential area while still getting my professional work done every day.
