Variety Silk House

Variety Silk House is over in Kandivali West, specifically on M.G. Road Number 4. We are right across from Patel Nagar, so it is a fairly easy spot to find if you are in the neighborhood. The shop is on the ground floor of the R.W.G. building, which is nice because nobody has to climb any stairs to come see us. We have been dealing with silks and fabrics for quite a long time now. The inside of the shop is full of color because of all the different materials we keep on the shelves. Silk needs a bit of care, so we are always careful about how we handle the rolls and keep them away from the sunlight. It gets quite busy on the weekends when people are out shopping, but during the week, it is a bit more relaxed and we can take our time with things. We have a couple of large tables where we can spread out the fabric to show the patterns and the texture. The street outside is usually full of parked bikes and people walking to the nearby shops. We keep a small radio in the corner that plays local music while we work. It is a comfortable place, even if it is a bit crowded with all the stock we carry. We just focus on our day-to-day tasks and making sure the shop stays organized. Most of the people who come in are regulars who have been buying from us for years. We like it here.
