V Caterers

V Caterers operates out of Gala Number 9 in Building Number 11, which is part of the Patel Shiv Smruti complex. We are tucked away off Dr E Moses Road in Worli. This area has a lot of old industrial buildings and small workshops, so we fit right in. The gala is basically one large room where we do everything from chopping vegetables to cleaning the big serving trays. It’s a high-ceilinged space that echoes a bit when it’s empty, but it’s rarely empty. Usually, it’s full of staff moving around and the sound of water running in the big sinks. Worli is a central spot, so we are always going back and forth to different parts of the city. The traffic on Dr E Moses Road can be a nightmare, so we have to plan our departures very carefully. We don't have a storefront with big glass windows; it’s more of a functional warehouse feel. The floor is concrete and the walls are lined with heavy-duty shelving. It’s a place of hard work, not a place for sitting around. We have been in this gala for quite a while now and we know all the other business owners in the complex. We share tea and complain about the heat together. It’s an unpolished, real way of working, but it’s what we know. We just focus on getting the food right and making sure it gets where it needs to go on time.
