We are located in the Clifton building, which is part of the Oberoi Complex right near the Sab TV office. It’s a pretty well-known spot in Andheri West. Usha&Shola Designs is tucked away on the 6th floor in unit B/602. Most days are quite hectic around here. Being so close to the TV studios means the neighborhood is always full of people and a lot of energy. Our actual workspace is usually filled with material samples, rough sketches, and a lot of half-empty water bottles. We aren't big on formalities or wearing suits to work. If you come by to see us, you’ll probably find us hunched over a big table or maybe arguing about a specific color shade for a project. It’s a very collaborative place. We’ve lived and worked in this part of Mumbai for a long time, so we know all the shortcuts and the best places to grab a quick snack. The office isn't always perfectly tidy, but we know exactly where everything is located. We handle all sorts of design work for local clients and some from further away. There’s no big marketing team here or anyone to handle public relations. It’s just us doing the actual labor ourselves. We take the work seriously but we don't take ourselves too seriously. The New Link Road traffic can be a real nightmare in the evenings, so we often end up staying a bit later just to avoid the rush. It gives us extra time to finish up projects without being interrupted by the phone.
