Urvashi Ks Dance Institute

Urvashi Ks Dance Institute is located over in Goregaon East, right near the Kullegowda Industrial Estate. We are in Sonal Apartment, specifically 2/8, on the 2nd Cross in Vrishabhavathi Nagar. It is a busy area with a lot of small businesses and workshops around us. We started this place because we wanted a spot for people in the neighborhood to come and learn some steps. The room isn't huge, but we have enough space for a small group to move around without bumping into each other too much. You can usually hear the music from the hallway when a class is going on. We have some mirrors on the walls and a wooden floor that we try to keep clean. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that help. Most of the students are kids from the nearby apartments who come after school. Sometimes their parents wait outside in the hallway while they finish up. It is a bit tucked away, so people sometimes miss the turn near Praka, but once you find us, it is easy. We don't have any flashy lights or a big stage. It is just a simple place to practice. We spend a lot of time just repeating the basics until everyone gets them right. It can be loud and a bit chaotic, but that is how a dance school should be. Sometimes the neighbors hear the music.
