Roshan Tanje School Of Acting

We are over at Bungalow Number 29 in S.V.P. Nagar. If you know where the Versova Telephone Exchange is in Andheri West, then we aren't hard to find. It’s a MHADA area, so it’s got that specific look to it. The Roshan Tanje School of Acting is basically just us in this house. We have converted some of the rooms into spaces where people can practice their lines or try out different scenes. It gets quite loud sometimes when everyone is trying to project their voices at once. People come here from all over, hoping to get a break in the industry. We don't promise them anything special, we just give them a place to work on their craft. The bungalow has a bit of a lived-in feel, which I think helps everyone relax a bit. There’s usually some tea being made in the back and scripts lying around on every flat surface. It’s a bit of a jumble. The neighbors are used to seeing strange things happening in the yard or hearing someone shouting a monologue at noon. It’s just part of life in this part of Mhada. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just a house where people come to act. Some days are better than others, and the heat in the afternoons can be tough without enough fans. But we just keep at it. Learning to act is hard work, and we provide a place to do it.
