If you’ve ever tried navigating the Sunvill Compound in Lower Parel, you know it can be a bit of a maze. We are located at 108 in the Cama Industrial Estate, right in the thick of it. Lower Parel has turned into this big hub of glass buildings and malls, but our corner still feels like the old industrial Mumbai. At Ugs International, we deal with a lot of moving parts every day. The office isn't anything special—just desks, some sample piles, and a lot of phone calls. We spend a good chunk of our time coordinating things, making sure shipments are moving and the paperwork is sorted out. It gets pretty humid here, especially in the afternoons when the sea breeze doesn't quite reach the inner streets of the estate. You’ll often find us arguing with delivery drivers or checking on crates in the loading area. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits. We’re usually in shirtsleeves, trying to get things organized before the weekend rush. There’s always someone coming in or out with a clipboard, and the sound of the city is never far away. We’ve grown used to the tight spaces and the constant bustle of the compound. It’s just how it is working in this part of town. We keep our heads down, do the work, and try to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to go without too much trouble.
