We are based right here in Mumbai, dealing with property stuff day in and day out. It’s a massive city, and trying to keep track of who is selling what can be a real headache. We don't have one of those big offices in a skyscraper; we mostly work on the ground, going from one building to another. Real estate in this city is a mess sometimes, with all the paperwork and the constant changes in prices. We just try to keep things simple for the people who talk to us. We’ve seen neighborhoods change from old chawls to big towers, and we know which parts of the city are getting too crowded. Most of our day is spent on the phone or meeting people at tea stalls near the sites they want to look at. It's not a glamorous job, despite what the brochures might say. There is a lot of waiting around for people to show up and a lot of walking through half-finished buildings. We don't promise anything crazy. We just show people what’s available and tell them what we know about the area. Mumbai is our home, and we know the streets pretty well. If someone is looking for a place to stay or a shop to rent, we just do our best to find something that fits their budget without too much fuss. It takes a lot of patience to deal with Mumbai property, but we’ve been doing it long enough now.
