Tanmay Apartments

So, this is about the space we have at Tanmay Apartments, Room No.452. We are situated in K. Nehru Nagar, which is a pretty crowded part of Mumbai. If you know the 400017 area, you know it’s always moving. Our room is where we manage the day-to-day things for the building. It’s not a real corporate office or anything like that. Just a table, a few plastic chairs, and a ceiling fan that makes a bit of noise when it's on high. We spend most of our time talking to the residents about their leaks or if the garbage wasn't picked up on time. It’s a lot of small problems that we try to fix before they get big. We keep a big register where we write everything down by hand. Sometimes we lose our pens and have to borrow one from the guy at the tea stall downstairs. Life here is busy and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we get by. We aren't experts in anything special, we just know how this building works and who lives in which room. People stop by to chat even when they don't have a complaint, which is nice. We don't have a fancy website. If you want to talk, you just come to the door and knock. That’s how we’ve always done it here. It's a bit of a climb to get to us, but the neighbors don't seem to mind much.
