Tisha Creation

We are located at Tisha Creation in the Swadesi Market on Kalbavi Road. Our shop is unit number 106 on the second floor. Swadesi Market is a classic old-school market area, and it can be quite a maze if you aren't used to it. You have to walk up the stairs to find us among all the other merchants and small shops. The building has that old Mumbai charm, though it can get quite hot in the afternoons. Our space is small, which is typical for the market, but we make the most of every inch. It is usually piled with stock or samples we are working on. Being on the second floor gives us a tiny bit of distance from the madness of the main Kalbavi Road, but the sounds of the vendors and the traffic still make it up to us. It is a very lively place to work. We spend our days dealing with vendors, customers, and the occasional person who wanders into the market. We don't use any fancy management systems; it is all very hands-on and personal. We know the other shop owners on the floor, and we often help each other out. It is a very traditional way of doing business, based on long-term relationships and being present every day. We just open our shutters in the morning and see what the day brings our way as we start our work.
