The Urban Kitchen

We are located on the second floor of building 2B in Vijayanagar, right here in Bandra West. The Urban Kitchen isn't one of those fancy places with a view of the ocean, but we like our little corner. Being on the second floor means it’s a bit quieter than the street below, which is nice when things get hectic. We started this place because we just wanted to cook the kind of food we like to eat. It’s a small kitchen, and we have to be careful not to bump into each other when we’re busy. We don't have a big team or a lot of expensive equipment. Most of what we have is stuff we’ve picked up over the years. We spend a lot of our time prepping ingredients and making sure everything is ready before the orders start coming in. Bandra is a busy place, and there are always new spots opening up, but we just stick to our routine. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, people find us because they work in the nearby buildings or live in Vijayanagar. It’s a lot of stairs to climb every day, but we don't mind it. It’s just part of the job. We aren't trying to be the trendiest spot in town. We just want to provide a decent meal to whoever finds their way up to our door. It’s hard work, but it feels good to be doing something for ourselves. We just hope the food we make makes someone's afternoon a little bit better.
