The Sound Space

Our place is up in Flat No 403 at Belmont. We are located at 37/D on Malabar Hill, in Sector 22 B. We are quite close to the Matru Ashish building. Being on the fourth floor keeps us a bit away from the direct street noise. This is important for what we do with sound. It’s not a huge studio but it’s a comfortable one. We have equipment set up in different corners. Most of the time, we are just sitting here listening to recordings or teaching. It’s a very specific kind of work. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. When you come over, you just knock on the door. The view from the window is actually quite nice, which helps when we are working long hours. We spend a lot of time talking about rhythms and tones. It’s a quiet life for the most part. Sometimes we have groups of kids coming in, and then it gets a bit louder. We just take things as they come. No corporate rules or strict uniforms here. We just wear what’s comfortable and focus on the audio. People in the building are used to hearing a bit of music coming from our direction. We’ve been in this flat for a while now. It feels more like a home than an office. We have a small kitchen in the back where we make tea.
