The Pearl Vegetarian Fast Food

You can find us over in Andheri 11, right where the street always seems to be moving. We focus on vegetarian food because that’s what we know how to do. The kitchen is always a bit chaotic in the mornings when the crates of vegetables arrive. We spend a lot of time peeling and cutting things before we even open the doors for the first customer. It is a busy neighborhood and there are always people rushing past our windows. Some stop in for a quick snack and others just want something to take back to their office. We have a few small tables but most people are in a hurry. The walls are plain and the floor has seen better days but we keep it swept. It’s not the kind of place where you sit for hours. You come in, you eat, and you go about your day. We’ve had some of the same staff here for years and we all just know our rhythm by now. The stove is rarely turned off once the lunch rush starts. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Most of our customers come because they live or work nearby and know we are here. It’s just us doing what we do every day. Sometimes we run out of the popular dishes by late afternoon if the crowd was big and the supplies ran low.
