The Manu Electric & Engg. Works

We are located right in the middle of Lohar Chawl at the Kanji Gokuldas Building. If you've been to number 160, you've probably walked right past us. It’s a very old building, full of history and other small businesses. The Manu Electric & Engg. Works has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. It’s cramped and the hallways are narrow, but it’s where we feel at home. You can always hear the sounds of tools and machines from the different units around here. Our workspace is usually a bit dusty because of the kind of work we do. We don't spend much on decorating the place. Instead, we spend our time fixing things and putting parts together. Sometimes the power goes out or the traffic outside makes it hard to hear, but that is just life in this part of town. We have a few regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They know the shortcuts to get through the crowded streets. We like that they trust us enough to keep coming back. It’s not a corporate setup at all. Most of us wear work clothes that are stained with oil or grease. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and head home. It is a simple way of living and working for us in a city that never stops moving.
