The Chairman

You can find us at The Chairman, which is Shop No. 27 on the first floor of Anil Chember. We’re tucked away in the Smita Complex, right near Hotel Prakash Inn on the Sakinaka Telephone Exchange Lane. If that sounds like a lot of directions, it’s because Sakinaka is a bit of a maze. But once you find the lane, we’re easy enough to spot. We’ve been in this part of Andheri East for a while. It’s a bustling area with constant traffic and noise, but that’s just Mumbai for you. Our shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have on the first floor. We don’t have a fancy storefront with big glowing signs. It’s more of a quiet place where we handle our business. Most of the people who come to see us are locals or people who have heard about us from someone else. We don’t really do much advertising. We just try to be helpful and get the job done right. The building itself is an older one; Anil Chember has seen a lot of years. We like the character of it, though. Every day is a bit different here. Sometimes the lane is blocked with deliveries, and other times it’s surprisingly quiet. We just take it as it comes and keep working. It’s a busy life in Sakinaka, but we wouldn’t have it any other way right now. It's just home for us.
