Terence Lewis Academy

You can find us on Saint Anthonys Road in Chembur. It’s a well-known spot for anyone interested in dance. The Terence Lewis Academy has been running out of this building for quite some time. It’s not your typical quiet office. There is usually music playing and people moving around in the studios. We have dancers coming in and out all day long from all over Mumbai. Chembur is a great area because it’s easy to get to, and Saint Anthonys Road has a nice feel to it. The academy is basically where we teach and practice different styles. We don't have a lot of corporate polish here; it's more about the actual work on the floor. The floors are a bit worn from all the feet, and the mirrors always need cleaning, but that’s just how it is. We focus on the classes and making sure everyone has a place to learn. It’s a lot of sweat and repetition. Some days are loud and hectic, especially when a big group is preparing for something. We just manage the schedule and keep the place running. It’s a simple setup meant for movement. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy speeches. People come here to dance, and we provide the space for them to do that. It’s a busy, lively place most of the week. We have a small corner where we keep our bags and water bottles. It's nothing fancy, just a place for people who love to move.
