Sur Sanjeevan

Our space is at Utkarsh Mandal on Mahant Road. We are right opposite Vile Parle East in the Bhonde Colony area. If you go behind Sathaye College, you will find us at Cts No 40/11. It’s a nice little spot. We spend a lot of time here focusing on music and how it affects people. It’s not a big corporate center. It feels more like a community hub. We have rooms where we sit and work through different sounds. Sometimes students from the college wander over. The atmosphere is generally pretty relaxed. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town. We just want to do our work properly. There are instruments around and often you can hear someone practicing in the next room. It’s an older building, so it has some character. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy but we don't mind. We talk to anyone who comes through the door. It’s a lot of listening. We deal with a lot of traditional stuff. It keeps us busy from morning until evening. Most of the people who come here have been coming for years. We know their families and they know ours. It’s just that kind of neighborhood. Being near the college keeps the energy up. We just keep doing what we've always done. It feels right to be part of the community here on Mahant Road.
