Our workspace is in the B M C Quarters at Fort, specifically number 16. It’s located in the Kurla area near the Kachara Cabin. Sunil Shantaram Dubhele is the name we use here. The quarters are old, but they have a lot of character and history. It’s a place where everyone knows each other’s business, which can be good and bad. We have a small area where we do our daily tasks. It’s not a fancy office in a glass tower. It’s just a room with some old wooden furniture and a lot of papers. We spend a lot of time just talking to people who drop by. The Kachara Cabin is a well-known spot, so it makes giving directions much easier. Life in Kurla moves at its own pace. It’s often loud and crowded, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We don't use any special jargon or try to impress anyone with big titles. We are just people working in our community. Sometimes the ceiling leaks a little when the rain is heavy, but we put a bucket under it and keep working. It’s a practical way of living. We focus on the tasks at hand and don't worry about the rest of the world too much. This is our little corner of Mumbai, and we're happy with it. We don't need much more than some work and good neighbors.
