Sumita Kirana Store

Sumita Kirana Store is right here in Juhu West. It is not a huge place, just a neighborhood shop where we sell things people need for their kitchens. We have bags of rice, pulses, and some soap and biscuits on the shelves. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once. We try to keep everything stocked up, but sometimes the delivery truck is late and we run out of things. Juhu West is a nice area, and we know most of the families who live on this block. They come in for a bit of salt or some oil and we end up chatting about the weather or the local news. We open early in the morning so people can get what they need before work. Some of the shelves are a bit crooked because we put them up ourselves. It is not like those big supermarkets with bright lights and matching uniforms. Here, it is just us. We use a small calculator to add up the bills and we keep the change in a wooden drawer. Sometimes the neighbor's cat comes in and sits on the counter. We just shoo it away. It is a simple life running Sumita Kirana Store. We do not have any big goals other than making sure we have what our neighbors are looking for. It is a steady way to spend the day and we like seeing the familiar faces.
