Sukanya Exclusive Sarees

You can find us at Moti Mahal on the ground floor. We are right on MG Road in Ghatkopar West. It’s a very busy spot, right opposite Cama Lane. Sukanya Exclusive Sarees is our little shop. If you know Ghatkopar, you know how crowded MG Road gets with all the shoppers and the traffic. We’ve been here for a long time, selling sarees to the local community. The shop isn't very big, but it’s packed from floor to ceiling with different fabrics. We spend most of our day unfolding sarees for people and then folding them back up again. It’s a lot of work on your arms, honestly. We don't have a fancy showroom with models or anything. It’s just us and the sarees. My uncle started this place years ago, and we’ve kept it going ever since. We know a lot of the families who come in because they’ve been shopping with us for generations. We don't do any big marketing. The sign outside is a bit faded, but everyone knows where we are. Sometimes it gets so busy in the shop that there’s nowhere to sit, but that’s a good problem to have. We just focus on having a good variety of stuff. It’s a simple, local business. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just like sarees and we like being in Ghatkopar. It is a good life for us here.
