Srinivas Sandwich Center

If you are ever walking down Old Nagardas Road in Andheri East, you will likely pass by Jai Chowk. That is where we are, Srinivas Sandwich Center. We have been setting up here every day for quite some time now. Making sandwiches might seem simple to some, but it keeps us on our toes all day long. We start by getting the bread fresh and then we spend hours chopping vegetables and getting all the spreads ready. Andheri East is a place that is always moving, and Jai Chowk is no different. It gets pretty loud with all the rickshaws and cars passing by, but we have gotten used to it. We don't have a big sign with lights or anything like that. People just know where we are because we have been in the same spot on Old Nagardas Road for so long. We aren't trying to be the busiest place in Mumbai; we just want to make sure the sandwiches are made right. Sometimes we run out of things if it is a particularly busy afternoon, which can be a bit of a headache, but we just keep at it. It is a small operation at Srinivas Sandwich Center, just a few of us working together to get through the day. We like the neighborhood and the people who stop for a quick bite before heading back to work or home. It’s just how we spend our time every day.
