Living and working in Mahim is something else. It's busy, there's always noise, but it's home for us. Sri Vivek Kantilal Gutka is basically a name on the door that's been around for quite some time now. We open up early because that's when people start moving in this neighborhood. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. Just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of work to get through every day. Most days involve just keeping things running and making sure the paperwork is in order. People stop by quite often, sometimes for work and sometimes just to say hello while they’re passing through the narrow lanes. It’s a bit cramped in here if I’m honest, but we make it work. You get used to the sounds of the street after a while, like the horns and the people shouting. I’ve lived around here long enough to know the shopkeepers next door and the guys selling tea at the corner. It’s not some big corporate office with glass walls and fancy carpets. It’s just us. We deal with whatever comes our way, trying to keep the books straight and the customers satisfied enough to come back next time. Sometimes the old ceiling fan makes a weird clicking sound and the tube light flickers, but the work gets done. It’s just a regular life in a regular part of town. Nothing much to brag about, but we’re here every day.
