My workspace is located on Ram Mandir Road in Chembur. It is a pretty straightforward setup at house number 12693, which isn't too hard to find if you know the area. My name is Rao, and I have been working out of this part of Mumbai for quite some time now. The road outside usually gets very crowded because of the temple nearby, especially on festival days, but we actually like the energy of the neighborhood. It is definitely a local operation. We don’t have one of those big, fancy offices with glass walls and expensive furniture. It is more of a traditional, simple space where we just focus on getting the day’s tasks finished without much fuss. I usually try to get here quite early in the morning before the big rush starts on the street. Chembur has a lot of history to it, and being on this specific road feels right for what I do. The walls in the office could probably use a new coat of paint one of these days, but the work we do inside is solid and that's what matters to me. I handle almost all of the inquiries and phone calls myself. Sometimes my nephew comes by to help out with the ledger or moving things around. It isn't a complicated business. We just focus on the job at hand and try to be helpful to whoever happens to walk through our door. The ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise in the heat of summer, but we have all gotten used to it.
