Sri Puranmal Jain P

My name is Sri Puranmal Jain P and my workplace is located in Dharavi. We are right opposite the Navrang Compound and quite close to the Mahim Railway Gate. Being near the railway gate means you always hear the trains passing by and the whistles blowing throughout the day. It’s a sound we have grown very used to. The area around Navrang Compound is always crowded with people working and moving goods. It is a very industrial part of the city in its own way. Our space is functional and honest. We don't have any leather chairs or glass walls. It is a place of work, plain and simple. We open up early and usually stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with the traffic coming off the main road near Mahim, but we manage just fine. People know us in this part of Dharavi because we have been around for a while. We don't spend money on ads or anything like that. We just rely on being here every day and doing what we are supposed to do. The heat can be tough in the summer months, but we have our routine and we stick to it. If you are looking for us, just head toward the railway gate and ask for the place opposite Navrang. It’s a busy spot but it feels like home to us. We just keep our heads down and work.
