Sri Premchandra L. Prajapati

You can find us at 104 in the Shreeji Industrial Estate. It’s on the East side of Powai, right near the bus stop. Being that close to the stop means there’s always a crowd of people waiting outside our building. Sri Premchandra L. Prajapati is a small setup. We don’t have any big signs or neon lights. It’s just a standard industrial unit where we spend most of our daylight hours. The floor is concrete and usually has a few scuff marks from moving equipment around. We keep a small radio in the corner that plays local stations, which helps pass the time when the work gets repetitive. Powai has grown so much with all the new buildings, but this industrial estate still feels like the old days. It’s a bit quieter once you step inside from the street noise. We mostly deal with people who walk in or locals who have been coming to us for years. There’s a tea stall just around the corner that we visit at least three times a day. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. It’s just us doing what we do. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour and we just take a break and sit on the steps. That’s life for us in Shreeji Industrial Estate. We just take it one day at a time and try to do things as best as we can.
