Span Design Studio

Our studio is up on the 13th floor of Satra Plaza in Vashi. It's quite a climb if the elevators are acting up, which luckily doesn't happen too often. Span Design Studio is where we do all our work, surrounded by rolls of fabric and sketches pinned to the walls. Being in Sector 19-D means we are right in the middle of a lot of commercial activity. Vashi is a busy place, and Satra Plaza is usually humming with people going to different offices. From our window, we can see a bit of the city, which is nice when we’re taking a break from the sewing machines or the computers. We aren't a big corporation; we're just a small team trying to make things look good. The space at No. 1303 is basically our second home. We spend more time here than anywhere else. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and the whole building gets quiet. It’s a lot of practical work, measuring things out and making sure the stitching is right. We don't have a receptionist or anyone like that, so if the phone rings, one of us just grabs it. It’s a bit messy sometimes with threads all over the floor, but that’s just how a working studio looks. We like being in this part of Navi Mumbai because everything we need is just a short walk away.
