Sonu Design Studio

At Sonu Design Studio, we are located in the Golden Palace building on Turner Road. Bandra West is a busy place, and our spot at 1/191 is right in the heart of it. The studio isn't very large, but we make it work with what we have. Most of our time is spent at the tables, sketching or looking at different patterns. It gets pretty noisy outside with the traffic on Turner Road, but we usually have the radio playing to drown it out. We aren't trying to be some high-end fashion house; we just like making designs that people can actually wear. The walls are covered in scraps of fabric and different color swatches. It can look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is. Sometimes the tea stall down the street brings us drinks while we work through the afternoon. Bandra has a lot of energy, and we try to keep up with it without getting too stressed out. We don't have a team of secretaries or a big reception desk. It is just us in the back, working with the needles and the fabric. People often stop by just to see what we are currently working on. We don't mind the interruptions much. It is just part of being a local business in a place like Golden Palace. We keep things simple and focus on the work we have in front of us.
