Soni Tools

You can find us at A/8, Ram Niwas, right on Dadabhai Road in Vile Parle West. It’s a decent spot, though parking can be a real headache on the weekends. We’ve been operating Soni Tools from this location for quite a bit now. The shop is packed with all sorts of things, and sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in because of all the stock. We carry a bit of everything for the local workers and people trying to fix things at home. It’s not a fancy showroom. We have metal shelves and some old wooden counters that have seen better days. My cousin helps out when things get busy, and we usually have the radio playing in the background. Vile Parle is a fast-moving area, and we try to keep up with what people are asking for. Sometimes someone comes in with a broken part and we spend half an hour just talking about how to mend it. We don't have a website that does much, and we prefer it when people just walk in and talk to us face-to-face. It’s more personal that way. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon, but we put a bucket down and keep going. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us on our feet. We know most of the regulars by their first names and how they like their tea. That's just how we run things here.
