You can find Sonal Y Chandaria right on the first floor of Sindhi Niwas. It’s an older building on Mahim Main Road, so it stays pretty loud with all the buses and cars rushing past outside. Our unit is B/3, and once you walk up that first flight of stairs, you’re basically there. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floorboards sometimes creak when you walk near the window, but it’s home for us during the work week. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations or modern furniture. It’s mostly just the essentials that we need to get through the day's tasks. Being in Mahim is convenient because everything is close by, though parking is always a nightmare for anyone who tries to visit. We usually have the windows open to let in a bit of air, even if that means the city sounds come in too. It’s a very local way of doing things, without any of the polished edges you might find in a newer office district. We’ve had the same setup for a while, and it suits the way we work. There is no hierarchy or formal nonsense; we just sit down, do what needs doing, and deal with the paperwork as it piles up. It’s a practical, no-frills space that reflects how we handle our business every single day.
