Smb Traders

We are located up on the second floor of the Contractor Building in Room number 26. It is one of those very old Mumbai buildings on Vaju Kotak Marg, right in the heart of the Fort area. If you have spent any time in this part of the city, you know the streets are always crowded and the buildings have a lot of history and character. Smb Traders has been running out of this small office space for a long time. The stairs are quite narrow and it can get pretty warm in the building corridors during the afternoon, but once you step inside our room, we have everything organized in our own way. Being in Fort means we are right in the center of all the action, which is great for business but it does get very noisy with the constant traffic outside. We don't mind the chaos much; it’s just part of the Mumbai experience. Most of our day is spent on the phone or sorting through our current stock. It gets to be a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of inventory arriving at once, but we always find a way to make it fit. We aren't a high-rise corporate office with glass walls and air conditioning in every single corner. We are just a group of people working under a ceiling fan that has a bit of a click to it. Taking things one day at a time is how we work here in Maharashtra.
