Smart Arts

Our workshop is at 196 Kandivali West, specifically in the Ganesh Nagar area within the Charkop Bari Compound. Smart Arts isn't a fancy gallery or a high-end design studio. It is a working shop where we make things. The Bari Compound is full of small businesses like ours, so there is always a lot of banging and shouting going on around us. We do a bit of everything, from signs to small art projects or frames. Most of the time our tables are covered in glue, scraps of wood, and different kinds of paper. It is a hands-on place. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in the middle of a project with our sleeves rolled up. Kandivali West is a busy part of the city, and our corner of Ganesh Nagar stays pretty lively. We don't have a lot of room for a showroom, so most of what we make goes out the door as soon as it is finished. We spend a lot of time just putting things together and seeing if they turn out right. It’s not always perfect on the first try, but we stick with it until it looks decent. People around here know us for being practical and just getting the work done without a lot of talk. It’s a bit dusty and the floor is always covered in sawdust, but it is a good place to work. Usually, we have a radio playing in the background to drown out the noise from the street.
