Sjk Architects

The office is in 302 & 303 at the Veena Killedar Industrial Estate on 10-14 Pais Street in Byculla (West). We go by Sjk Architects. Being in an industrial estate means it’s not the most glamorous location, but it gives us plenty of room to work. The building is older and has that industrial feel, which we actually quite like. We have two units that we’ve filled with desks, drawing tables, and enough paper to fill a library. It gets a bit noisy with the other businesses nearby, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. We’ve been in Byculla for a while and it’s a solid home for us. We don't have a fancy lobby or a dedicated sales person. If you come to see us, you’ll be walking right into the workspace where all the actual designing happens. We aren't big on formal meetings or corporate structures. We just sit around and discuss how to make things work. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment. There are models and sketches everywhere, often gathering a bit of dust. We don't spend much time cleaning up for visitors or trying to look corporate. We just focus on the projects and make sure we’re doing the best we can with what we have. It’s just the way we like to run our day to day operations here.
