Simran Precitools

Down in Goregaon East, specifically the 3rd Phase on 8th Main, is where we keep the workshop for Simran Precitools going. The address says 425/A, but sometimes it takes people a minute to spot us. We work on precision tools, which is basically just a lot of measuring and making sure things fit exactly right. It’s a lot of metal work and the machines make a fair bit of noise all day long. The area is pretty industrial, so nobody really complains about the sound. We’ve been here a while and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but the work stays about the same. It can get hot in the summer with all the machinery running, but we usually just keep the doors open to get whatever breeze comes through. We aren't the type to have a fancy website or anything like that. We mostly just talk to people who come by or call us up when they need something specific made. Our desks are usually covered in drawings and metal scraps, and we like it that way because it means we’re actually doing something. Every morning we start early, get the machines warmed up, and start on the day’s list. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes even Sundays if there’s a lot to catch up on, but we don't mind the extra hours when the job needs doing. It's just a regular workshop.
