Simac

Our office for Simac is located in Meher House 3, on the ground floor at 15 Cawasji Patel Street in the Fort area. It is one of those old buildings with thick walls and high ceilings that you find in this part of town. The street outside is always packed with people walking to their offices or grab-and-go food stalls. Inside, it is a bit quieter, but there is still the hum of the city coming through the windows. We have some old wooden desks and shelves that are probably as old as the building itself. Most of our work involves a lot of documents and small equipment parts that we keep organized in bins. It is a bit of a maze in here with all the storage. We don't have any bright lights or modern decor; we just use the lamps we have had for years. When the monsoon hits, you can hear the rain drumming on the building, and the air gets very heavy. People stop by quite often because it is easy to find us on the ground floor. We usually have the door open to get some air moving, even if it means a bit of dust comes in. It is a very traditional way of working, and we have been part of the Fort business community for a long time. We don't see any reason to change how we do things as long as the work gets done and the visitors find what they need.
