Siddhi Vinayak Pan Bidi & General Stores

This shop is right on N G Acharya Marg in Vile Parle. If you know the area, you know it stays quite active from the morning until the shutters go down at night. We have been here for a long time, dealing with the daily flow of neighbors and students who pass by on their way to wherever they are going. The space inside is filled with all sorts of things, from the jars of sweets to the bundles of bidis and the general household items people always seem to run out of at the last minute. It gets a bit cramped when a few people are standing at the counter at the same time, but we manage to get everyone what they need. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling because there is never enough floor space for everything we want to keep in stock. There is a specific smell to the place, a mix of incense and the different goods we sell, which is something you just get used to after a while. The sidewalk outside is always uneven, and sometimes the rain puddles right in front of our step, so we have to keep an eye on that. We don't really bother with much beyond just keeping the shop running and making sure we have what people usually ask for. It is just a regular life here on the corner, watching the world go by through the open front.
