This place has a very long name, Shvatra From The Kitchens Of Radhomal Bhagat Tarachand, but most people just know us for the food we make. We are based in Ghatkopar West on the 2nd floor of the BWing in building 3. It’s more of an office and a main kitchen setup than a walk-in restaurant. We focus a lot on the old ways of cooking that come from our family history. It’s not a corporate thing with suits and meetings; it’s more about big pots and people who know how to season a dish just by the smell. The kitchen gets incredibly busy during the lunch hours when we are sending out orders to people all over the area. There is a lot of shouting and steam everywhere. I spend my time making sure the ingredients are what they should be and that the delivery guys find the right addresses in Ghatkopar. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or a polished look. Our walls are covered with notes, schedules, and phone numbers. It’s a practical, hardworking environment where everyone has a job to do. We’ve been doing this for a long time, following recipes that have been around way longer than I have. We just want to get the food out to people while it is still hot and tastes right. It’s a lot of pressure sometimes, but we just keep at it because it’s our life and what we know.
